To show yall.
In the first picture, the ring on the right had deep grooves in it and would never seal. I was told that I would have to replace the axle as parts were not available. The ring on the left is a new ring as well as the one on the axle. I have it set up in my CNC lathe and will make a few more before I knock down the setup.
The third picture shows how I removed the old ring.

Hi Dick, thanks for sharing the information, looking at the pictures, these are the same as the 39 B model that I purchased last spring and have not started any restoration as of this date. This was a quick decision purchase for the AC/B, Don't know if I will get around to working on the tractor over the winter months, had the tractor out in the yard a couple of weeks ago runs fairly nice, although it does require a lot of work. Cheers, Murray

Good luck on the B when you get around to working on it. They are fun. I have 2 38's, a 39, a 40. a 41, a 44, and a coupe of other B's that I don't remember the years. This one is a 1944. It started out to be a parts tractor when a fellow stopped in and said that if I overhauled the engine he would like to have it to restore. WE came to terms on a price and that was two summers ago. I guess he changed his mind and was proably a wise thing as I don't think it would have been a good parts tractor. Every thing I have taken apart on this one has been bad. I have taken pictures of rebuilding the transmission which was junk.
