I've ran into an allis chalmers blade, it hooks up to the snap coupler and the lift arms. Its in decent shape...actually excellent shape. Would some one give me an idea of what I should offer him for it?

The posts on prices are reasonable I think. In addition to how badly you want or need it, is that if it's the true Allis-
Chalmers blade, it is a good one. They were made in the Oxnard California division at the time I believe. They're heavy and will dig where a lot of them won't. Nice equipment indeed. So many of the competing blades just more or less rattle when you drop them down, not this one. And it'll stay with you next to forever. It also featured the "rolling moldboard" design, which at the time was touted as rolling the dirt instead of just pushing it. It was supposed to be the same thought as Allis-Chalmers' motor graders at the time. They went into that kind of thing big time trying to sell, but it really is a cut above in blades. God Bless.

I paid $400 5 years ago, but have yet to see one in that good of condition. Some go for $150-300 around here. Dave NE Iowa

As Eldon said an AC blade is expensive. The generic blades are quite a bit cheaper. I paid $125 for my generic snap coupler last spring. Needs paint everything else seems OK.

Good blades with extensions and all the screws free will run as high as $700....you can even expect to pay $400 for some in fair condition. These blades are getting hard to find....the only place you are going to find them cheap is at an auction with only one AC collector or a seller who doesn't know what he has.

Offer him whats it is worth to you. You know how much you need one better than any of us. No more than I need one about seventy five dollars is about all it is worth to me. You may need one or want one more than I do though. I have seen them sell for about one hundred fifty dollars at auction.

I am an Allis collector. I think 300.00 is a fair price. I bought one about 5 years ago the adjusting wheel was tight and some bolts were broke I paid 125.00 for it.

Was wondering where a snap coupler blade mounts. Mid or back. I have a B model ac tractor 1950, what is it worth as it is in good shape mechanically as well as visually.
