Installing a D-17 engine in my Allis Chalmers WF

I have a WF with a very tired engine and have an opportunity to purchase a D-17 engine which is presently in a Gleaner E-3 combine. The D-17 engine needs a manifold gasket. What problems would I encounter installing that engine in my WF? Would I need any special adapters, etc. Would the D-17 engine just slip right in, or will I need anything else.

It should be easy to bolt it right in. I have a WD45 with a D17 engine. The original engine died and at the time it was cheaper to replace it with the D17 engine. You will like the extra power.

Should be very little trouble, seems alot of guys on the pulling sight have done it on WC's and WD's. Should be pretty much a bolt in swap.

IF your talking about a gas D17 engine you will be fine. Deisel, differnt sory. ~Brad
