My CA has suddenly developed a spitting/sputtering. Cleaned the sediment bowl, wires seem ok? What would be further suggestions? At times it comes out of this and runs just fine, then, off it goes again. Thanks for any info.

screw the bowl fitting out of the gas tank. flush the tank, clean the screen and bowl, blow out the line to carb, drain carb bowl, may not have to pull bowl off carb. check gas tank if excess crud is inside. may want to put inline fuel filter in the line.

Does chokeing it help pull it out of it, if it does you have some dirt in the carb. Some times chokeing it when it does that may even pull the dirt out and run fine for a while. My ford 801 does that at times and I just choke it hard a couple times and it runs fine for a long time. Hope this helps
