AC CA spin out hubs

I recently bought a 1952 CA, when I picked it up I noticed someone had welded the spin out hubs and cut off the cam knob on each hub. I'm going to try to clean off the welding and see if I can save them, but it looks doubtful at this point. I'll replace the rims, but does anyone carry these hubs? I'll probably need the adjustment stops for the rims, too. Any help would be appreciated.

When moving along in my CA, my left side power rim makes a snapping sound. I can't see where the rim is moving when I inspect the rim areas, but something is certainly happening. The rim does not snap each time it turns but snaps once about every minute or so.Appreciate your help, and thanks in advance

You mentioned checking the rim area and finding nothing have you checked the lugs on the center of wheel. If they are just a little bit loose they will do that.

Thanks for the reply. This weekend I'll see if I can get the welds loose, and let you know. I appreciate the fast response.
