WD-45 radiator question

I was doing some mowing today and the next thing I know there is coolant spraying all over the place. I discovered that it is coming out of the overflow drain near the radiator cap and running down into the fan, causing the "spraying". The overflow tube that should be connected near the radiator cap has broken off (this happened before and I used JB Weld to reconnect it). The JB Weld broke today. Is there anything else that I can use to hold this overflow tube where it belongs? Also, this leads me to believe that there might be another problem since the only way the coolant can come out of the overflow is when the pressure in the radiator causes the cap to push up. Why might this be happening? When I looked in the radiator, I noticed some really sludgy looking stuff floating at the top. Could I have a cracked block, or is this normal? Up until yesterday, I was using distilled water as the coolant and everything was working fine. This morning I replaced it with antifreeze and then this happened. Coincidence? or something more to it...I don't know. Sorry for the lengthy question, but any advice would be appreciated.

If you overfill cold it will push out when hot. Always use about a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water as it has rust preventative in it, distilled water or any plain water will cause rust!

I have to leave the water level down some, or it will push some out... Cold, I usually dip my finger in, and the coolant will be about 1/4" above the plate, about 1 1/2" below the cap...

When was the last time you flushed out the system it could be getting clogged even with distilled water. Some how rust doesn't care what water you use. I'd flush it out with vinegar 70/30mix and then refill with antifreeze. As far as the over flow tube clean off the JB weld and solder it back on if you have the torch to do that with. Hope this helps
