A friend of mine has just purchased an ALLIS model I-400 farm tractor. To date, I have been unable to find any information. We would very much like to know about this tractor... re: date for manufactor, etc. Any/all information which can be provided would be super... THANK YOU !!

The I-400 is a d-12 series III with a heavier front axle and a manual shuttle or the same transmission as on the d-12. I-600 is base on the d-15 with industrial type front axle and some different gearing changing the hi-lo power director to an hydraulic shuttle clutch

I knew of one in the neighborhood a few years ago I think it was based on a D 15 only had the industrial outfit on it.
