We had one too when I was growing up on the farm in Indiana. It is probably a mid-50's model, but not certain.

I recently found one that had been stored and well-taken care of and works good. Gave $300 for it. Had a chance to get a similar one for $150, but it needed a lot of work..... hope this helps.

In the mid-late 50s my dad bought a new NI pull-type mower, basically green in color with a galvanized hood over the pto drive. 7 foot bar, and a rope-operated power lift to raise the bar. Also had a breakaway feature for the bar if an obstruction was hit. Might have been a #7?, but don't really remember.
