AC 180 Transmission

I have an AC 180 that the reverse in it just quit!When you put it in reverse now the motor make a little different noise for a second but nothing happens. So never been in an AC transmission before .... First how do you access the transmission area to view the problem if possible?? second what could the problems be?? Is reverse on a different shaft then the other gears or maybe the forks are different or what? Appricate any help anyone has and if you happen to have a drawing of the transmission for a 180 that sure would help. Thanks for the help felks.
