Looking to get more power out of a 39 WC I just picked up.Will a camshaft out of a WD45 or D17 fit? I have also read in the forum archive about swapping in a WD45 crank, don't think I'll do that for a while as I want to pull stock class the first year or so and I think that much power would be caught onto fast. Does anyone still make the power crater pistons for a WC. What about heads too? Will newer heads fit?

And maybe the cam form an even later engine will fit, was it a 190, or 170? Don't remember the model of the newer than D17 that uses this engine. HP went up with each new model.

You can send yours out to either be reground to a better profile, or have it welded up and then reground to an even better profile. There was a guy in California that would make any cam with any grind you wanted for like $70. I just can't remember his name or number. Click on to the pullers site and check with some of those guys.
