Did Allis Chalmers ever produce a garden tractor, and if so which was the first one?

Didn't you ask the same thing about John Deere? If you are asking about what is considered a garden tractor today, AC's first was the B10 in mid-60s. Allis bought out Simplicity ca. 1965 and used their line with the AC name on it. So . . . Simplicity was making garden stuff well before AC. I have a 1959 Simplicity model 700 which I think was their first four wheel garden tractor. They made a bunch of two wheelers before that.

Don't mean to offend, but the first Allis-Chalmers garden tractor was actually a B-1 in 1961...

No offense taken. I'm not an expert on 50 - 60s vintage lawn & garden stuff. I did, however work for an AC dealer during the late 60s. I remember talk about Allis Chalmers actually designing and building their own garden tractor for the first time instead of re-labelling Simplicity stuff. I'm pretty sure it was no earlier than 1965, perhaps a year or so later. Not sure if their first AC built tractor was the B-10 or the B-110. The B-1 tractor was, more-or-less, a Simplicity 725 with some AC paint and decals on it, as I recall. I've got an older 700, and it looks as though Simplicity used walk-behind tractor parts to build some of it.

thanks for your help. Am researching an article over here in England and as the majority of early garden tractors were American thought I would ask the experts. I did post on a few different marque boards
