I recently bought an old WD. It has been sitting out in the weather for over two years. The motor was not stuck, but just about everything else was. I have everything in working order, except for the lift arms. They are stuck in the up position. I can lift them by hand about half an inch, the cylinders slide back in that same half inch. I cleaned the cylinder rods with emery paper and oiled them up good. The linkage seems to be working, at least on the outside. The PTO is working.Any help would be appreciated. Dennis

have you checked the fulid to make sure there was fulid in the resivor if not you could have a stuck release valve on the pump. all you have to do then is open the pump and unstuck the valve what you did wrong was to cleaning the clylinder rods with emery because you can scrach the thin layer of chrom and create rust to form were you scrached it making it worst. you also should change the oil often in it. my wd sat for five years as a planter and it works fine.
