Looking for a generator that will work on this
tractor. Anyone know what other generators cross with this one. Any company that specializes in AC generators?? Thanks

most generators were made by DELCO or similar and age generic in nature. Probably the same as a 1940 chevy or ford truck. Take it to NAPA or AUTO Zone and ask them to compare to a few others of this vintage. Usually they will pull 3 or 4 units off the shelf so you can look at them.

Steve, thanks for the thoughts but I don't have a
generator to get #'s off or do a visual comparison.

auto store may still be your best bet. Take a couple rough dimensions and go talk to the guys. if you dont have a good voltage regulator and dont care about authentic, it might be time to put on a cheap alternator and switch to 12 volts, if your up for the wiring. just depends on what you want. a new generator will cost about $100, a new alternator will cost about $40 and have the voltage regulator inside it.
