I recently aquired an allis chalmbers wd the serial number is 215875 according to the serial numbers I can find posted 1953 started at 130000. Did they make that many or is there something I'm missing any help on this number would help. Thanks Darin

My book of serial numbers Has WD's stopping at 131273 in 1953. WD-45's were made in 1955 starting at 190993 to 217992. Hope this helps.
