update -- Plugs and plug wires for AC B

Once done with new wires and old ends, I can't say that it helped the running much but I couldn't test it well as it was pouring rain. I did try removing the plug wires one at a time and noted each cylinder resulted in the same change in the engine's running--and I didn't get shocked. I had tried this with the old wires and got the s*!@ shocked out of me through the insulation--also I noted no difference in the engine's running when a plug was disconnected which isn't right. So I'd say the new wires were worth the effort.

As for the plugs the Champions I have are sold as a replacement for the Autolite 295s but I might just get a set of them and see if I get any better performance.

One last note I think some of the funny sounds are a result of the valves. I worked on adjusting them some more and that too seemed to help but it is hard to adjust them as the rocker arm ends are worn unevenly and the feeler guage is too wide to check just where the rocker hits the valve--the rocker is wider and not worn on the edges. I'll try to get a slimmer feeler guage plus I need a washer to tighten between the end of the rod the rockers are on and exhaust valve rocker for #1 cyl.
