I am getting ready to start restoreing a 39 WC. One part I am going to need that is wore out is thepiece that the steering rod runs through that is mounted to the frame. It looks like a pipe T. Does any one have one or can you get a new one? Dave.

Yeah, what JOE said about re-bushing the one you have...or getting another support out of a junkyard and re-bushing that one. I have a 47 WC
that I restored and I re-bushed both the steering pedestal and lower steering shaft support. It made the tractor steer much better. Also, don't forget to re-drill the grease hole in the new bushing before installing the steering shaft.

David, I found a brass bushing from a parts house that fit the 7/8 steering shaft and had my local machinest (sp) bore the holder out to fit. When assembled you can't even tell it was done. Be sure to re-drill the grease hole

Hi Dave!
Can you get me some demensions off of that part yer' lookin' for? Walt next door in the chassis shop could probably fabricate one for you. Drop me an e-mail or give me a call at the shop.

The bushing is a good idea, but I think mine is wore through the back side. Steve: when I get started this Fall I may ship you an old one to check out.
