Just bought a WD-45, and in the process of repairs that were needed. am looking for the serial number to ident. year, anyone know where it is? Also, the pto seal needs replaced, It is a double lip seal, outer piece is felt, I assume its a dust shield, inner is lip seal. Parts store can't match it up, only get a single lip seal for it. Will this be ok with a new wear sleeve, or should I insist on the double lip, and continue looking. if so, anyone know where I can find the seal? I live near Kansas City, thanks, Scott, MO.

The PTO output shaft seal you need is: National #6241S. The serial number is located on the left vertical surface of the differential/brake housing. Look for a smooth surface between the brake spring hole and the brake adjusting bolt/locknut. The number is stamped there (sometimes faintly) and will begin with the letters WD.

the 6241S is a single lip seal, I hopefully have found the correct double lip seal, with a speedy sleeve. Have it on order, will be here monday. If it's right, I'll post the part #. Thanks.

Were you ever able to purchase the correct double lip seal for your PTO? I too am in search of this part number. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
