I am replacing the TSV-13 carburetor float valve for my AC G. My concern is that the new float valve seat I obtained from Agco is longer and the threads are .032 inch larger in diameter than the original. It has about seven threads compared to five threads on the old seat. The float valve seat part number on the package is correct compared to the AC G parts manual. I haven't used force yet, but I can't get the new valve seat to even start to thread into the carburetor using my fingers. I am waiting for your answer before I proceed. What is the correct diameter and thread pitch of the float valve seat? Do I need to use a correct size threader to renew the threads in the carburetor if a threader is available? Thank you all for your help.

Glad you found the thread size and got it fixed. I didn't have a TSV carb here to look at then. We found a TSV54U this week to put on our AC G. Ordered a kit for it and found that the kits are the same for all TSV numbers of carbs. Thanks.

Dennis, Call or write V.E. Petersen Co. in Ohio, 800-537-6212, www.vepetersen.com . They are the largest U.S. dealer for Zenith or MS carbs and may can answer your question or get the right seat for you. Something is wrong with seats sometimes in the kits we have gotten too. I have been hearing about others having problems getting the seats out because someone has forced the wrong one in and then ruining the threads for future repairs. Don't ruin your carb as that one is getting hard to find. P.S. If you or anyone has a extra TSV13 or 24 or a Zenith 14993 for the AC G for sale I could use one. Glen in TX

Thanks for your help. I took a 1/8" -27 tap that I bought at the Ace hardware store and used it to clean the float valve threads in the carburetor. Then the new float valve seat went into easy. The threads in the old seat must have been slightly damaged.
