Hi, Hope you found the problem with your mag. If now let me know. I have the original FM parts and a good line of aftermarket ones as well probably for less than NAPA and we work on them too. Set the points on the FM-J at .020 and on the FM-X at .015. I have some RV4 points and parts too. Also be sure to get the right condenser as too many people put the wrong ones in this mag.

The WC had two different style Fairbanks mags. I'm not sure what years had which, but some WC's came with the RV4 mag which is long with the high tension towers facing up on a 37 degree angle. The other was the popular FM4B mag which is the common horizonal style mag with the high tension towers out the top. You may be able to get points for the 4B from Napa, but I don't think you'll find them at Napa for the RV4. We carry F/M mag parts in stock, and also service them. If you need any more info, drop us a line, or give us a call, be happy to help ya out!

Or put dist/coil. assembly on it. Assembly from older farmalls bolt right as well. Mark

NAPA has points and condensor for not too much. Point gap is .020".

Make sure it's alligned properly so the rotor is pointing to a wire when the mag fires.
