I just got a 7020 and am trying to pull a 5 btm plow with it, having trouble keeping the plow from going too deep and using traction booster. This may be too much plow for the tractor. Any suggestions on how best to drop the plow in the ground and then adjust the hydraulic settings and traction booster? I need to get some weight on the front too, front is raising up

The 7020 is 100-120 HP, right?- should be good for a 5 bottom plow. Do you have the OPERATOR manual for the tractor, which explains how to set the hydraulic system? You can't learn how to run a tractor if you don't have the most BASIC book for it. If it is a semi-mounted plow, you drop the three-point, and then the remote cylinder, which lowers the rear of the plow. If you do it properly, the rear bottom should enter the ground in line with where the front bottom did. Once you have everything set right, all you need to move are the lift lever and the remote lever.

Thanks for the answers. I did get the operators manual, and looked over the setup and possible adjusments. The 7020 is 123PTO-Hp, about 100 Dwb-HP. I think part of the problem is not having enough weight on the front end. Purchased some weights and will be putting them on before my next go round.

never used the 7000 series but 190's you just kept bumping the traction boost down a little at a time until you were deep enough or until the front end would just float. we loaded the left front tire so we could judge by watching the right in the furrow.
