relocate aux hydro pump

I have a hydraulic pump mounted on the back of a wd45. It has a chain that comes off of the pto and goes to the pump mounted above it. I would like to relocate the pump to the front but not sure where to put it. It has a wide front end. I would like to put a 3 point on the back and use the front end loader also at the same time. Thanks

I've done it two ways on a WD. Mounted just forward of the crankshaft pulley. On one I machined the pulley to take a stub shaft (welded in place), which drove the hydraulic pump with a lovejoy coupler. It was difficult to work in that small space, so I added about 8" C-channel to the tractor frame, moved the steering pedestal forward, and mounted a pump with a double chain coupler. Important thing in either case is correct alignment. You can mount a resevoir alongside the tractor, or in front of the radiator, to gravity feed oil to the pump.On series II and III D17, they had a crankshaft pulley that a front shaft would bolt on to. Don't know if they would fit the WD45 crank.
