If a valve is stuck, how do you get it unstuck?
In may I broke a hose when I backed up with the blade on to push a rock out of the field.
I replaced the hose with a new one made up at the ford dealer. ( also put the old hose back on because was told they was restriction in the new hose, arms still DO NOT go down.) The arms will not go down. they go up fine. Also by the valve the cover that above them gets really hot. It make a noise to from that side can't tell what it is.
Was told to that the valve is stuck!
Everything was fine until the hose broke and I did loose fluid but added some in.
Is it okay to run it when it gets hot?
Do not need the arms at this time because I'm just pull things around.

Thanks

Okay there was a valve stuck by tap with a chise and hammer and spraying the heck out of it, finally it loosen up and now works properly with the lever handle. The noise stopped too!
But the arms still will NOT go down.
Even if I stand on them and work the lever, they will NOT go down.

Nancy, there is a little rod that fastens to your right lift arm. I am going from memory so may be a tad off. It has to do with the traction booster. Sometimes this rod gets bent. Take it off and straigten it if it is bent. This fixed my problem when my breaking plow would not take the ground. I thought the mechanic was a bit daft when he told me about this fix.

The little rod is not bent, but there is two holes in the bar that it connects too! not sure witch one it goes in. I have tried both but no luck in getting the lift arms to go down.
