HAD NEVER SEEN A ALLIS SQUARE BALER BEFORE AND 1 CAME UP AT AUCTION SO I BOUGHT IT CAN SOMEONE TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT IT. ARE THEY RARE? AND WHEN WERE THEY MADE AND HOW MANY DIFFERENT ONES DID THEY MAKE THANKS FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME. VIRGIL

virgil, we bought our '63 303 baler for $300, and it was in very nice working condition. I wouldn't say any of the AC balers are rare.

The first square baler was the 200 in 1962. The 303 was first built in 1963. I have a 302 which is a lower priced version of the 303 and introduced in 1966. In 1970 the model 444 replaced the 303 and the 442 replaced the 302. A 443 replaced the 442 in 1973. They dicontinued the hay line in 1975.

I paid about $300 for my 302. It need some minor work and tires. They are not very common around here. I don't know about collector appeal.
