Dave, Mike is correct with wire location on your mag. All three wires get attached to the point block. One wire comes up from under the coil which is your shut-off or "Kill" wire, one from the condensor, and one from the coil. We carry F/M mag parts in stock if you ever need any parts, service, or info. Gap on the points is .020 . Make sure you add a little distributor lube to the contact cam & rub block. This will help keep the rub block on the contact set from prematurely wearing out and loosing the correct point gap. Might be a good idea to replace the condenser also. They have a nack of failing once in a while... Good Luck, and have fun!

Dave, I am not sure as to the color of the wires, but I am pretty sure that they are all connected with the screw that holds the two sections of the point assembly together at the bottom. Have changed two sets of points this week and that is the way that they were assembled. As a tip for installing the new points, the ones that I got from NAPA had a plastic bushing that you need to thread a screw into instead of the old brass nut style, thread the screw into the points once before trying to do it on the mag. Good luck, Mike S.(WA)
