The bearings are gone in the front ideler wheel of my HD5G track loader . I have the wheel assembly off but don't know how it comes appart to try and replace the bearings . There are metal blocks on each end of the axle that attatch everything to the frame rails . These are what I'm having trouble with . Also are there any used parts out there ? Thanks for any help .

Kelvin

Hello,To get the track idler bracket off requires a special puller with a hydraulic pump. You would also need this puller to remove the bearing from the idler shaft. The HD 5 and HD 6 share the same idlers. It would be cheaper to get a used one. Here are a few places to call: Stephens Equip 1-800-652-5547; Clapp Brothers Equip, Westfield, Ill. 217-967-5219; Illini Const Parts, South Elgin, Ill., 1-800-352-1723; Wengers Const parts, Meyerstown, Pa., 1-800-552-5080. For new Berco undercarriage parts try: SR Industries, Toms River, N.J., Art Seeger, office 1-732-929-4595, cell 1-732-766-2109. Let me know how your search turns out. Good Luck, Phil
