I have a '41 Allis B and run a 5 foot BMB brush hog behind it. It will bog down when I run through really thick stuff but otherwise it does fine. My 'hog is also set up to attach to the standard Allis hitch.

I pull a 4ft trailer type bushhog behind my B all the time. No problem with power. You can pull a 5ft but, you will start running out of power if you mow too low. Or if the weeds are over about 2 ft.

I have a 48 B with a worksaver 3 point hitch and use a 4 foot brushhog. Worked fine on clearing a field with sapplings up to 1 inch and some a bit larger. Be sure to have an over riding clutch installed on the pto shaft.
