I have a 47 B it has been sitting for a couple of years, ran pretty well when parked. It won't start now. I've been reading alot of the items on this forum, and have tried a few of the things mentioned It has a good spark, I replaced the points and condenser, plugs and wires. When I pull out a plug it smells of gas. I rebuilt the carb,a zenith but the IT manual does't give any adjustment specs for it.Any help with a place to start would be much appreciated. Thanks to everybody on this forum for all your help.

I can't tell you how many times an engine that wouldn't start will fire right up with fresh gas. Stale fuel is no fuel.

Make sure you drain all of the old gas out. Water builds up in the tank. I would shoot a little starting fluid to it, which might tell if it was a fuel problem. Drain the bottom of the carb also. I go through a cough and sput session every spring after I have had the tractor sitting. That is why you are supposed to do certain thigs to store your tractor. These little B's are great, but do not like to drink water.

try new plugs and new gas. turn gas on to fill carb and bowl, turn gas off and try starting. if it starts turn gas on if it floods out your float is not set proper or it may be bad. I have seen a bad condensor cause a similar problem to.
