Model G motor conversion

Has anyone out there converted one of the G's N62 Continental to something else? I am considering getting one of these units but the motor is seized. The Continental N62 is obsolete and expensive to fix. I would like something a little more current and easier to get parts for.

Not too long ago, I saw one with a Diesel engine in it....They said it was Great for landscape work..!! I do not know what engine it was..it fit in like the original..

I saw an add for this in the Antique Power magazine - the last issue and the current one. Available many places - Tractor Supply carries the magazine here. Not a cheap replacement, but I *think* it claimed 20+ hp. Not bad since the G was 10.something hp on belt and 9.something hp on drawbar.

Probably cheaper to fix up the continental .... but the replacement looked good, Even used the original hood.

Someone was selling a G on e.bay about 3-4 months ago that had a Kabota engine in it. It didn't sell I don't think because the reserve was never met.

Re:Model G Motor conversion Antique Power's last two issues had an advertisement for a diesel conversion for the (G).I think it was 20hp but i'm not sure of that.We have a(G)that is listed at 14hp but it has had the M&W sleeve kit installed.My Son-in-Law restored it in California while he was in the Navy.It is one AC will say they didn't make.They will tell you they started in late 1947 and 1948.We have the original invoice dated August 17 1946 with the original price for it.I bought this tractor at an Estate auction in 1977 for more than it sold for in 1946.
