third party image

I was looking at this really old abandoned traveling circus and found an old AC. It was really rusted out and I'm trying to figure out how old it is but I don't know anything about tractors. It had what i think is a crank-start in front. Where would the serial number be? It looks sort of like the image attached. thank you

Look around the pictures and try to find one somewhat like it, then we can tell you where the serial nos. are and what model it probably is. Need more of a description, didn't see your attached image.

need a little info... If it is a little B or C, it will have no frame from teh transmission to the motor, just a round torque tube that has the draive shaft inside. It will have 24 inch rear wheels. The serial number will be by the transmission shift lever. If it is a bigger tractor like a WC or WD or 45, ther will be a c-channel frame from the rear wheels down each side of the tractor to the radiator. probably has 28 inch rear wheels. If it was built in the late 1930s it would be unstyled, meaning the gas tank looks like a tin can, and the hood and fenders are just flat panels, curved in one direction. The WC will have the serial number on the rear axle pumpkin. If it was built later on late 1940s and is a WD or WD45 the serial number is probably by the left rear brake cover, on the axle. These are the most common tractors prior to 1960. If it was built after 1960 it might be a D series and the serial number is behind the left rear corner of the motor on the torque tube housing on a flat boss. If it is a big old tractor from the 1920-1930 era, such as a U or A, i cant help. Post your e-mail and we can send you some pictures to compare.

thanks steve, I looked at the pics and it is either the filename AC-B or Aliis WC1. I know for sure it isn't the other two.
