I picked up my first A.C. model B the other day. I wanted to find out what model year it was, so i checked the serial no. B26943 (clearly stamped on top of the transmission). I know, what your'e thinking, there is no such number. Now what?
The tractor has a starter, battery box, no generator, no lights and hand brakes. What is this?

The 1939 model started with number 11800, The 1940 model started with number 33394. Your number is between the first one built in 1939 and the first one built in 1940. So it would have to be a 1939.

ACCORDING TO MY SHEET THE LAST # IN 39 WAS 33501, AND THE LAST # BUILT IN 40 WAS 49720. THAT WOULD MAKE YOURS A 40.
I HAVE A 40 WITH STARTER AND LIGHTS WHICH WAS CALLED A "SPECIAL"
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR B.
I HAVE 3 OF THEM.
BOB
