I've been a fan of the "green stuff" for years, but I've wanted a "G" since I saw my first one . I've found one that's been sitting unused in a barn for about eight years. It was last used to cultivate tobacco. It was running fine when parked. It looks good, has been covered. It's not stuck. We haven't tried to start it. My question is "what's it worth?" The owner isn't playing dumb, he just doesn't have any idea what to ask. He's said "make me an offer". The only other one that I've seen for sale in this area was a nicely done amateur restoration that was priced at $2500. Help!

If it runs and metal is OK, here in PA they go for $1700-$2000. Basket case here is $1000-$1200. Hope this helps.

I've heard they can fetch $3000 with implements. The attachments are the problem - finding them will be an issue. If it is in running condition, needs paint, and has no attachments, I might say go $1750 to $2000. Your mileage may vary...

A model "G" in any kind of condition here in Southern NJ will bring $2500 and up. Even a basket case will bring $2500. So I guess the price is determined by where you are from and what the traffic will bear.

Do a search of "passed auctions" on Ebay. Quite a few get listed on there. If the owner doesn't get it running that is a big minus, hydraulics and belt pulley are a plus, implements are a plus. I paid 600 for a non-runner w/plow and parts tractor, $2400 for runner w/cultivator, hyd., and parts tractor.
