Hello, Was wondering what the Horse Power was on these. The WD is a 1951 and the D14 is a mid to late 50's model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The HP ratings on the two tractors isn't the only thing to consider if you are comparison shopping. Several design improvements were made between the 'W' series and the 'D' series. Depending on the intended use, these differences may or may not be important to you.

D14 came out in '57?, had almost the same power as the WD45, but about 400 lbs lighter, and 26 inch instead of 28 inch rear wheels. (Bad move). Maybe 39-40 hp. I think the WD was around 33 hp., WC in the higher twenties. Many books have the real specs.

I checked two of my books today, and even they disagree with each other! D14 figures I found were lower than what I thought they were, more like what Bryan says.

WD had about 35 belt & 30 drawbar. Those lower numbers are for a B model.

WD45 was 43 belt hp, WD was 34 belt hp. The D14 was not appreciably more powerful than the WD (we had both at one time) - it certainly wouldn't pull with the WD45. Since the D15 was 40 belt/pto hp and the D15 II was 46 hp, I'd think the D14 was in the 32 to 36 hp range. Don't have my book with me or I'd look it up ...!
