Can anyone tell me how to find out what model my tractor is. It is a '58 year and it's a gas engine Allis Chalmers. I see what looks like C 13 1 on the tractor. I am trying to buy a manual for parts and to work on it, but don't know what model. Thanks for your help

I found D17 8603 on the clutch bell housing. Can you tell me what year this is by this number, and what the 8603 signifies? Thank you

you have a 1958 D17. the 8300 is the serial number and 16,000 were built in the first year 1958. This is a series I. Very nice tractor, about 50 HP. Did not come with a 3 point hitch, but one could be after market. Had 1 way hydraulics if it had a factory pump. lift up, float down. Based on the WD and WD45 motors, very reliable, with updates. D17 was one of the best ever built by ALLIS.
