Does anyone know how many sealing O-rings go on a D-17 gasoline Allis per sleeve? Is there one for top and bottom or what? I am about to tear one down to put sleeves in it, but I don't have the sealing rings. I can get them but I don't know how many to get. Any help would be great!

While putting the sleeves in, COAT the "O-ring area" with Non-Hardening Permatex, ot Aircraft Sealer....to make sure you don't ever have a leak there...I would coat the bottom of the water jacket at the lower "Webs", to prevent leaks, should one of the webs crack ( as Many, Many have)... Hope you checked the webs between the 1-2 and 3-4 cylinders for cracks... I believe it is mostly caused by shutting down a very hot engine, without letting it cool out.... Like running out of gas...I always give mine a turn or two with the starter, to keep the heat distributed in the sleeves...if i run out of gas, working hard... My .02 worth..!!!

My WD kit which I put in last winter had two o rings per sleeve, at the bottom. Are 45 different? My parts book shows 8 O rings for WDs, WD45s, and power units.
