Traded a set of 13x28 for a set of 16.9x28.I want to take off 13.6 x28 on WD45 put on the 16.9s my rims are 12" .Are the rims wide enough, how will the clearance be when adjusted all the way in,and am I going to get too much ground speed? Dave ps Will it look like its going down hill?

You've mentioned three different sizes. 13x28 is an old size marking. Current size is 14.9x28. 13.6 is new size, old size is 12x28 (rim width is 12). 16.9 is new size marking, needs at least a 14 inch rim. You can succesfully go one inch bigger or smaller on a typical rim. Oversize option on a WD45 was a 13x28 old size=14.9x28 new size. You are trying to put a D17 tire on a WD45. Your ground speed would increase.

My 45 had 16.9's on it when I got it and the wheels could not be set all the way in. They were one position out from that and had alread caught the back end of one fender and buckled it forward. You do not want 16.9's
It now has new GoodYear 14.9's and it still runs downhill.
I still have them one position out from being all the way in and there is good fender clearance. I looked at them all the way in and was afraid they would catch again. Mine look like a taller profile than other 14.9's I have seen.
