I'm going to look at a D-14 Monday after work. 1959 gas with narrow front. Is there anything specific to this tractor to look for? I've been told the head has just been gone through. Thanks. oleblu

Oleblu...I'm just curious....what did the guy get for the D14? I've got one I bought a couple of years ago, well used, but runs great. I've done some tinkering with it, new hoses and belt and alternator, stuff like that. I put 2 new rear tires on mine and patched the rusted rims. Rebuilt the starter. I use mine to feed with in the winter and have it on a 1030 New Holland stackwagon now. I sure like that little tractor. I gave 1700.00 for it when I bought it. I'm just wondering what they bring in other places. The one I bought has a cab on it...no kidding, someone put a cab on it, did a pretty neat job to. I made some side sheilds to direct the engine heat into the cab and its sure nice in the winter to be warm feeding cattle. I take the doors off and the side windows out in the summer and its really pretty comfortable loading hay with it.

Larry, he asked me $1000. Nice tractor, gas, narrow front. With 3 bottom plow. Only thing missing was the Snap Coupler latches. Guess next time I'll move a little faster. oleblu

Check tranny for noise...known for jumping out of gear under load or going down hill, especially 3rd. Rear tires and rims are expensive to replace.

Thanks, Eldon, but when I went to look at it today he said he had already sold it. "He who hesitates is without tractor" oleblu
