I saw on another wesite a picture of what was said to be a wd55. Did this ever exist? or was it just a wd with a six cylinder slammed in it? Thanks Terry

I has a 230 out of a A combine. I have a diesel that has one in it. It was cheaper to buy a gas than it was to buy a head for the diesel. The heads on the diesels was prone to break.

I believe it's a WD/WD 45 with a Gleaner (E?) engine. I think I heard once that they were an almost direct fit in replacement for the diesel 45's. Ross

There was a WD45 diesel, 6 cylinder, no such thing as a wd55. Could have been a typo?

Not a typo, it was a WD45 with a 6 cylinder gas engine in it. Guess they should have called it a WD65. JOHN

I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
