I use a JD 850 with a #75 loader. I use it to mow 3 acres and to landscape with. The tractor performs flawless and will dig but a scraper box is necessary if you are going to work in hard or compact material. 3 days ago I was grading the ditch in front of my house when someone in a cargo van hit the tractor at 60+ mph. The loader it crooked, but everything still works. The van was totaled.

I bought my 160 a year ago for 3,500, although I had to travel 550 miles to pick it up. It had 4,900 hours on it. All of the other 160's I've seen have been for over 5,000, so the one you're looking at with only 2,400 hours and with a loader sounds pretty good. Check the transmission to make sure it doesn't slip out of gear. This model is also noted for needing new brake disc. I repaired that myself, but the disc are only available from Agco and are expensive ($100 a pair). I also have a slight oil leak, but speculate it needs a new valve gasket. All in all, I really like the tractor. Let me know if you have other questions. Dave
