I have a Continental KTR-54 belly mower on my 1210 Ford tractor. It is a 54 inch cut. In fact I have my owners manual with me and the dealership I bought it from in 1986 is Kromminga Motors in Monticello, Iowa. They are located between Cedar Rapids and Dubuque, Iowa. Kromminga Motors phone is 319-465-5443.

I have had other dealers closer to me try and get parts from Continental Belton Company in Texas and they will only sell to authorizied dealers. Kromminga Motors is an authorizied dealer.

The phone number on my manual for Continental Belton Company is 817-939-3731.

I can make copies of my manual if that helps even if it is a smaller 54 inch belly? I can be reached at hanrahanjoseph@mcleodusa.net

GOOD LUCK! I just went through the same thing looking for what you have. I have a 5 ft Continental belly mower on a B. Parts seem to be nonexistant except for the bearings, races, and seals--although I had to make three trips to town to get the right ones. I did, however come across a complete mower down in Indiana and talked to the guy--from what he described it was exactly the same thing, was thinking of buying it, but don't think the owner of the mower wants it. The mower is finally in Iowa now, if you want any info on it, email me and I will try to help you out as much as I can.
The mower I have been working on also needed the bushings for the blades, but I finally figured out a way to fabricate new ones and sharpened the blades and it works like a top! If you do find out where to get parts--please tell me! Thanks

Hey fellas, I have a Continental belly mower for my C that came with it when I bought it. The previous owner also had 2 sets of new blades for it! (Just installed the first of the new set a couple of weeks ago). I'll see if I can get in touch with him and see where he got the blades.

I also have a parts breakdown and, I think, manual for it that I would be happy to copy for you guys and send on it's way, when I get back home.

I'm an aircraft maintenance trainer working with Continental ExpressJet for the next 2 weeks in Shreveport, La., then I have a one-week class in Indianapolis before finally getting some time off at home, so it wouldn't be till the first of July, but I'd be happy to do it!

The mower does a nice job. I don't know if you can still get parts or not, or if there's a way to fabricate/modify parts.....haven't had to cross that bridge yet.

But anyway....if you'd like a copy of what I have, send me your addresses and I'll get to it as soon as I can, and I'll see if I can get in touch with the previous owner and see what he has to say.

Dave--You would definitely be a lifesaver if you can find out where to get parts. This is the most help I have been able to find at all on these mowers. Anyway, let me know your email address so I can send you my mailing address. Thank you!

Hey, Travis, I'll be happy to help, just realize that it will still be a couple of weeks before I can get back home. I wasn't able to get in contact with the previous owner; just didn't have time today, but I will.

Anyway, my email address is achief0128@yahoo.com.

Where ya from? Talk to you later.

Dave

Dave,

I'm from south central Iowa--about 50 miles south of Des Moines and then about 10 miles west of I-35. I'm in no big hurry, so take your time, I'm just happy that someone else has heard of a mower like this one. I'll email you my address later, thank you.

I have a five foot continental also on a C Farmal. Good luck finding parts for it. The company I think is out of business. The blades should be reversible, so you can use both sides. Let me know if you find a place that carries parts.I live just about 100 miles east of you in east central Iowa.
