Missing tooth on ACB bull gear

Have restored a nice 1940 ACB which runs well now. But one tooth is missing on the left rear wheel bull gear. This makes a dull clicking sound every wheel rotation - doesn't sound like the missing tooth is causing any damage, but is it???
I'd rather not have to tear into the axle etc, but am I inviting a bigger problem if I don't??? Your ideas and war stories appreciated.

I have made several for tractors and trucks. Use work hardning bronze rod to braze a gear on, then grind close to the shape then the gears will continue to shape the gear and harden at the same time. This will last for years. You can work it and not wory , there may be a small noise according to how close you shape it.

Do you know for sure that you have a tooth missing? I had the same noise and the rim was loose from the hub.
