D15 power director jumps out of gear

I'm looking for ideas why my D15 Series II power won't stay in high range. Is this a clutch adjustment problem? It's hard to get accurate measurements as instructed by shop manual, so I've had to guess a little. Should I keep tinkering with the clutch or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Ron check to see the set screw on the bottom of the lever is tight.That is a common problem. I had the same problem with mine and it was the set screw came loose.

Rick, You're a genius! The set screw was loose, just like you suspected. I tightened it and the tractor workes great! Sure was a simple solution, and cheap, too. I'm glad people like you will take the time to pass on knowledge to people like me. Thank you!

Yes! Definitely check the set screw. Same thing happened to me too..... .
