After bringing home my "first" AC-B, I finaly got it running, but not well. It only runs with the choke full open. I checked the gas suply and it's getting plenty gas to the carb. Lucky the local NAPA store had 2 marvel Schebler model TSX carborator kits on the shelf. After taking the carb. apart and closely studying the instruction sheet that comes with the kit, which shows all 3 types A, B and C, I learned that the bowl section is a type B, which has the power jet that is in both A and B, but also has a seat for power adjustment needle which is only in the type B. The problem is the throttle body does not have the power adj. needle feature to match the seat. My conclusion is the pryor owner, who was a little vague about its running condition, took 2 carbs. and made one. Type B bowl and type A throttle body which do not work well together. And No he does not clam to have any spare parts from the change, if he even did it. I.E. the vague part. So now What do I need here, the type A bowl or a Type B throttle body or a complete carb of 1 of 3 types. Any help with this would be greatly apreciated.
