I see alot of "D" tractors advertised are they all similiar? D13 thru D17? I have a hip problem and cannot get on an off a WD or WD45. If I twist my Rt leg my artificial hip dislocates. Are the D's easier to get on and off?

I would think just about any tractor is going to be hard to get on with an arifical hip. On a D series you have to step up the pick up righ foot and sit astraddle. In my opinion the easiest would be a platform type tractor.

Jerry, All the D series were "sidemount" and if you can get your left leg up on the footrest-platform, you can then pull yourself up onto the tractor. I'd suggest trying this numerous times before buying anything.

BTW, there wasn't a D13

It is easy to add a step below the platform, on either side of the tractor. Makes it much easier for even able-bodied people to mount, especially on days with a lot of re-mounting, like rockpicking or picking up bales.

I own a WD, and three D series, the D's are a much more user freindly tractor. The poor old WD just sits there. Jeff
