Does anyone have a picture of the correct grill for a 1961 d-10. I understand that it had the diamond screen. Any information will be helpful.

On this web site they have a picture of a D12 in the photo gallery. (it uses the same grille as a D10) Yes it is made out of the diamond shaped expanded and flattened metal with three horizontal bars. Because these grilles are so rare, many people fabricate their own. Good Luck!

be careful on that grill. check the s/n after 3500 they had a grill that looks like the one on the d-14 only smaller. they did not have 3 bars. the grill was sheet metal, with slots in it about , slots are 1-3/4" long by 1/4" wide with about an 1/8" solid vert. and horiz between them. they also did not have metal rim around it, the trim was plastic material about 1/2" wide that slipped over the edge of the grill an went all around it.
good luck you will have to make one. you can get the material from most steel supply cos.

For what it's worth I have a 1961 d10 and it has the diamond shape perforations and the 3 horizontal bars.

if it really does look like a d14 grill, it might be diamond shaped slots, my d14 has three bars and diamond shaped slots..go figure.

hi guys---if you happen to have a copy of norm swinfords book Allis-Chalmers Farm Equipment, 1914-1985, look on pages 92,93,94 the book has very nice pictures of the d-10 and d-12 . the grill styles and the serial nos. along with the year of manu. a nice article on the D-10,D-12 is interesting also. lists the color eg. persian orange no. 2, cream grill with black bars, cream grill without bars, etc. might find this informative. but i have been wrong many times in the past. i have a very nice little D-10 all redone just need to put the fenders on and the grill shell then it is ready for the show. 1961 s/n 4328 149 cu in and a tach. cute. see you late
