Is there a particular silver paint that should be used on the rear rims of a WD? I am about done repainting mine and this is one of the few things left.

Thanks.

You can also go to your AGCO dealer and purchase corporate silver. It comes in a spray can. It has alot of metal flake in it. When applied to smooth clean metal, it looks real good, blending together. It looks like galvanizing. It also lasts longer than aluminum.

The Rims On A WD Came From The Factory Galvanized.
I Just Had Mine Both Galvanized $125.00 For The Pair.

I used a couple spray cans of Krylon aluminum paint on mine. As we had several WD's when they were new this looks quite original. The wheels were galvinized and not bright and shiny. A semi gloss is fine too. You might like the chrom look which is up to you, silver but not shiny is original. Can send some pix of mine if you like.

I just painted the rear rims of my Case 500 with a NAPA chrome paint. I used a rust converter and grabbed this chrome because that's all thay had. It really turned out good. It didn't look cheesy.I just wanted to stop the rust as I work this tractor and needed to get after it. I think I'll use it an my WD 45 next.

I understand there is a spray on cold galvanize paint from Eastwood's but I've never tried it. Argent gray paint like is used to restore the '70s car rally wheels looks much better than regular aluminum paint.
