AC CA hand clutch / finals problem

I have a pair of AC CA tractors - both bought used and both had water in oil in area around hand clutch when I bought them. Looks like these are open under the platform on both sides. Shouldn't these be plugged or have a boot at hand clutch lever to keep water out? Also one did not have the platform - any idea where I can get one.

And finally the torque tube has been welded on top of one where it mounts to transmission - no idea how you can crack the torque tube, but I have access to parts C and B tractors - wondering if I can swap torque tube from either a B or a C?

torque tubes are interchangaable, but the CA may have extra mounting bosses under the battery box area for belly implements. Maybe thats not important to you.

The brake and clutch housing on the right side are open both top and bottom. Unfortunately I have found that that area is a haven for mud dauber wasps. I've cleaned mine out almost annually. Your oil accumulation is likely from a seal leak where the shaft enters the differential. That isn't too hard to fix either. It does require the removal of a lot of stuff, i.e. the deck, etc. Seal from a local bearing shop is likely under $10.
