I'm considering putting a front end loader on my Series III D-17. Without live hyd I was wondering if it was worth it?

All Series I, II, III D17 tractors have live hydraulics via the hand clutch (Power Director lever), and Series IV has independent hydraulics.

Yes a front end loader works real nice on the D17. I would get the crankshaft driven pump though so if you need to use the remote you don't have to unplug the loader hoses. Also, don't settle for a loader with a trip bucket, definately get the hydraulic bucket.

I agree with Wally. My d17 has the crankshaft driven pump and hydraulic bucket. It does make using it a lot easier and definetly better.

I recently purchase a Series III D17 with a front loader. I'm so glad it has the loader. Use it all the time. It makes the tractor more versitile and my work easier. I would vote yes on if it is worth it.
