I am working on a WD 45 and have found that hole in the pilot bearing is too large for the clutch shaft. The agco dealer is stumped. The clutch shaft measurements are the same as other WD45 shafts. A new bearing does not fit any better than the old one. Is there a bushing for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Larry

I did not think that the WD or the WD 45 tractors used a clutch pilot bearing at all. The WC does however. I know that my WD has been in use since 1973 when it was rebuilt. It did not have a clutch pilot bearing in it when "torn down" and did not get one put in it when reassembled. You may want to check the service manual for your WD 45. Good luck, Gordon

I think there were some 45s with no pilot bearings. Most all these tractors had them I think. They seem to have tried it without for a while, then went back to using them. How about a bushing to adapt the shaft to the bearing. Is the shaft worn to a smaller diameter?
