Brake pins

Well, after weeks of off and on beating I finally got my left brake pin out! It's amazing how long it takes to beat out 60 years of rust. When I got the pin out I had to get the old brake out and when I pulled out the old brake, It looked to be original. Now, my question is, where can I get new brake pins? Because I really don't want to reuse these pins. Thanks, TractorMike

The brake pins on my B or C are easy enough to cut from cold rolled bar stock.

Make sure you put antiseize on them before you put them back. There is no need for your grandkids to be cussing you some day.

The pins for wds and 45s are case hardened. grind off a bit from the outter end and then drill and tap them for a 3/8 24 thread, then you can use a bolt or stud for a puller next time. I say a fine thread so you have more metal left in the bolt or stud, they can be a bit#$ as you found out. And it is easier to drill and tap them with them not in the tractor. I know. A lathe is best but you can di it with a drill press and vise or vee block.
