I have a D-17 1963 yr. serial # 69008. I need to know what series it is? The only other #'s I find are on the engine block behind the carb. under the breather tube. They are 17- 45010-M. The decal says it is a series IV but it does not have the 3 pt. hitch. I need to change it to a 3-pt and I can't find one in any of thr online parts co. Can anyone help? Will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

look several posts below yours on 4-10 about the question on the 3 point for a B. Send a note to both Jim and Dan, they both sell them $350-$400.

Billy,

The Series IV models started in '64, beginning with S/N 75001. '63's went from 65001-70610. Sounds like the decals are not correct. Does it have the external hydraulic pump in the belt pulley location? If not, it's likely a Series III.

There are a few places that sell 3 point adapters for your tractor. Check out this web site. I don't know if the sell them here, but I bought one for my D-15 online. Jeff
